In three short years, Andi Osho has made a big splash on the British comedy scene, with impressive appearances on Mock The Week, Tonightly and most recently Channel 4’s new topical show, Stand Up For The Week.
Reaching the final of five major new talent competitions in her first year as a stand up and winning the Nivea Funny Women award Osho is definitely regarded as one to watch out for.
As well as an established performer on the stand up circuit, Osho is proving to be a popular guest on radio and TV shows like Channel 4’s Russell Brand and Friends and Stand Up for the Week for her cheeky, quick wit and effervescence.
Osho has a background in television production before moving into acting in 2003 where she built up several screen credits including Casualty, Paradox and Eastenders. She also performed in several critically acclaimed theatre shows throughout 2005-2006.
A commended writer, Osho is one of the founding members of the London writers group Vowel Movement, wrote and performed in the stage play Up The Cafe De Paris for the 2008 Pulse Comedy Festival and has written a comedy CSI: Nigeria which is currently in production for BBC Three. A busy woman, she has also co-written and starred in her own pilot show for E4 The Andi O Show.
At present Osho is working on a sitcom and is touring her latest stand up show Afroblighty throughout London comedy clubs and festivals across Britain.
