It's the calm before the storm as Edinburgh and the Olympics are in the offing

After last week's Latitude week off, we're back with some of the finest comedy cuts committed to YouTube...

Ground contrlol

There are lots of Edinburgh show trailers on YouTube this year (where's my jetpack, etc) but this has to be the glossiest by a country mile. And it's funny, which obviously helps.

Psychloltherapy

Taylor Glenn is a former therapist doing a show at Edinburgh this summer. In this handy video, she helps some comedians including Jim Campbell and Guy Manners with their show problems.

Genealolgy

Yasmine Akram and Aisling Bea in a Who Do You Think You Are? sketch. You might think this is a bit 2007, but that just means you haven't spoken to a recently-retired boomer in recent years. THEY RUDDY LOVE THIS STUFF.

Lolympics I

Former Coward Tom Basden has camped next to the Olympic site; he is soon bothered by a security guard, played by a member of the British Army (read: Tim Key). Sue Perkins narrates, like she does.

Lolympics II

That's enough videos with budget: let's drop the bass, wibble it up and get down with some race walking...

Malcolm Hardee anecdote corner

I mean that's ripe for a LOLling but we just can't put it in Malcolm Hardee's name, that's not quite right...there's a film in the pipeline about the impresario and here are a couple of anecdotes from it. First up, here's Simon Munnery on his drinking...

And here's Stewart Lee on his style with the acts...

Buckles on TV

If you missed it on Sky Atlantic – and according to the viewing figures, most of us did – here's Adam Buxton rocking out at the beach in the first episode of BUG TV.

That's it for this week. Hot video? Tweet us @smallportions...
