Bath Comedy Festival was started in 2008 by Alex Timms.
Widcombe-based promoter Nick Steel took over as director in 2010 and said:
"A big hat's off and thank you goes to Alex for founding the Festival and overseeing the first two years.
"Although this is only the third year, I am happy to report that support for the Festival continues to build from a lot of directions.
"The aim remains to make Bath Comedy Festival one of the very best, and I'm looking forward to developing the Festival into a unique and special event over the coming years."
