Fringe review: A Real Human Person That Cares and All That |

In the intimate surrounding of the Hill Street Theatre is given a play gravitating on the theme of neo colonialism: A Real Humane Person who Cares and All That. Three actors alternate brilliantly roles and situations to picture us the sad reality of western governments abuses in the exploitation of natural resources overseas. From the first line the pubic remains captivated by the whip of the dialogues and the cold sensuality of Tiffany Wood. Flashbacks progressively unveil a nasty plot of corruption, voyeurism and inhumanity. The grave theme is tackled in a light energetic manner, retaining a consistent humorous tone throughout. However this tricky title is wrongly applied to a play that oppositely distinguishes itself by its sobriety and its straight forwardness. A Real Humane Person who Cares and All That definitely succeeds in the challenge of being meaningful, coherent and entertaining.
