Amused Moose launch Laughter Awards 2012

AmusedMoose have launched the Laughter Awards 2012 to search for the best show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The competition, which is sponsored by 2Entertain, aims to find undiscovered talent at the Fringe and , were won by gruff Canadian comedy maestro Tony Law last year, and come with a hefty £5000 prize
Alongside the £5000 prize the winner also receives a DVD as well as promotion and development, oh and a Shiny Moose trophy.
To qualify for entry, shows must be listed in the comedy section of the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe programme/website for at least 18 dates and performers may not have a current DVD deal or option.
Entries close on Sunday 5th August, by which time a filmed preview of the entered show must have been uploaded for viewing by the AMLA industry panel.
The ‘Top Ten’ Fringe comedy shows, will perform a 10 minute excerpt during the afternoon of Friday 17 August at the Bongo Club before a ‘Grand Final on Sunday 19 August which is decided by audience vote.
