Jimmy Carr set to host Channel 4's topical comedy series the 10 O'Clock show
Jimmy Carr is set to join Charlie Brooker, David Mitchell and BBC 6 Music DJ Lauren Laverne on a new topical comedy series on Channel 4.
The channel have followed up on the success of their Alternative Election Night, with a 15 show series which has the working title of 10 O’Clock Live.
Channel 4’s election coverage earlier this year was lauded for its innovative approach and , it contrasted sharply with the BBC’s much-criticised ‘election boat’ show. Audience figures found that
In a cross between Have I Got News For You meets Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush, the new Zepporton produced show is set to have a comic take on the week’s issues and events.
Darren Smith, who commissioned Alternative Election Night said:"The success of the Alternative Election Night proved that there is an appetite for a show that mixes comedy and the news agenda together in a way that produces genuine insight as well as laugh-out-loud moments.
