Jonathan Ross’s debut comic Turf has sold out of copies.
The comic, whose first issue is set to be reprinted alongside issue #2, is a crime-thriller set in Prohibition era New York but has vampires and aliens amongst the Al Capone’s of the mob underworld.
Speaking about the out-of-print issue Ross said: "This is so cool!
“Hope everyone who bought this debut issue is going to stick with us to the end because we have some insane stuff planned for this book!"
Although the comic is only on its first issue, Turf has already garnered film interest, with Vince Vaughn signed on to direct a big screen adaptation of the series. Vaughn has recently worked with Jane Goldman, Ross’s wife, in the recent movie hit Kick Ass.
Turf artists Tommy Lee Edwards added: "I am so proud of the work that Jonathan and I have put into Turf and am really glad that the first issue has been received so well.
"Doing a second printing will hopefully ensure that our series gets into enough readers' hands and get them hooked, because the whole thing just gets better and better with each following issue."
Turf #1 second printing and Turf #2 will be released on May 19.
