The British Comedy Awards is set to open its doors to the general public for the first time in it's history as it settles into it's new home on Channel 4.
The annual event is one of the highlights of the UK comedy calendar and will once again be hosted by presenter Jonathan Ross at London's IngidO2 at the O2 Arena.
Shane Allen, head of comedy at Channel 4 said: “The British Comedy Awards are crucial in recognising the excellence, originality and rude health of the comedy industry. At their best, the awards have a spirit of mischief, hilarity, surprise and danger about them, so C4 feels like a natural fit.”
Last year's awards included Harry Hill's TV Burp picking up the gong for best TV comedy entertainment show, while Michael McIntyre picked up the gong for best live performer.
