The show, which stars Tom Hollander and Olivia Colman is set for a third series on BBC2 in 2014, with producers citing time commitments as one of the reasons for the delay.
Hollander is due to start filming alongside Bill Nighy in Richard Curtis’s new comedy About Time, while Filming for the new series will start this Autumn.
Filming for the third series of Rev has been scheduled for autumn 2013.
Speaking about the new series Big Talk Productions’ Kenton Allen said : “I'm delighted that we've managed to get Adam and his congregation back into church for what I hope will be an extraordinary third season of a show that is extremely special for all those involved."
