Richard Ayoade in trailer for Ben Stiller's Neighborhood Watch

The IT Crowd's Richard Ayoade has an appearance in the first teaser trailer for the new Ben Stiller film Neighborhood Watch.

 

Ayoade joins Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill as part of a Neighborhood Watch team in the brief trailer for the film, which is scheduled for release in the UK on August 24.

 

Ayoade's move to Hollywood follows in the footsteps of fellow IT Crowd Star Chris O'Dowd, who has gone on to appear in Judd Apatow's Bridesmaids and Gulliver’s Travels.

 

Ayoade and Stiller have previously worked together on the film Submarine.

 

The new film will follow the travails of the four suburban dads whose Neighborhood Watch team inadvertently stumble across aliens posing as humans who have hatched a plot to blow up the earth.
