However for passengers facing another night in the Scottish capital not all is lost. The Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh are offering light relief to anyone who has been stranded due to the arctic weather with two free tickets to the club.
In exchange for showing a flight or train ticket they will be given two free tickets to a show. The Stand have are offering out free tickets to stranded passengers all week.
The Stand director Tommy Sheppard said: “it might be freezing outside but inside the Stand there’s a very warm atmosphere. We don’t usually give away tickets for nothing, but these are exceptional circumstances”.
