Funny Women finalists chosen
Comic sisterhood, brought to you by Nivea
The finals of the 5th annual Funny Women Awards will be held at the Comedy Store in Piccadilly on Monday, 2 July.
With backing from the comedy-aficionados at Nivea, Funny Women have scoured the country for the best of undiscovered British female talent. Following 12 regional showcases and hotly contested semi-finals in London and Manchester, ten acts have been chosen for the final round.
Previous winners include Zoe Lyons and Suzy Bennett.
Funny women will also be in Edinburgh in August hosting workshops, stand-up shows and a theatrical production, and have plans for a UK tour afterwards.
All the proceeds from this year’s awards will go to Ovarian cancer action.
