Comedy Club Links up with Island Cruises

Jongleurs to join cruise company to offer hilarity on the high seas.

Sea sickness meets comedy in the ultimate British farce as Jongleurs add a unique locale to their 16-club empire; the ocean.

As of May 2008, three Jongleurs comedians will headline a nightly show on Island Cruises Island Star ship. Night time fare will take place in the Ocean Theatre while the Bounty Bar will boast a twice weekly comedy blitz.

Jongleurs will also run a comedy master-class throughout the cruise to nurture travellers’ talent. Pupils get to ‘graduate’ in front of fellow passengers at the end of the week, when, presumably, onboard embarrassment peaks.

Maria Kempinska, Managing Director at Jongleurs, said: "Having signed an exclusive 2-year deal with Island Cruises, our comedians will be on board the Island Star between 3rd May and 27th September 2008. I am sure they will enjoy their time providing comedy in Jongleurs' first ever floating comedy club."

Should you fancy it, a 7-week Mediterranean cruise on the Island Star costs upwards of £650, including return flights from London Gatwick.
