New series sees lefty agitator clash with authority yet again
Belligerent stand-up-cum-social activist Mark Thomas will be chronicling his latest confrontations with law, order and officialdom in a new Radio 4 show, due to be recorded next month.
The series follows Thomas' campaign against the Organised Crime and Police Act, which was made law in 2005. Arguably, the law was passed to rid Parliament Square of anti-war protester, Brian Haw, who began his sit-in in 2001.
Thomas has organised a series of ‘mass lone demonstrations' near Westminster to get the rules changed.
The show, My Life In Serious Organised Crime, will be recorded in Hammersmith’s Riverside Studios on 19 March.
