Finger in the Pie Cabaret
Showcase is London’s largest platform for new Cabaret, Vaudeville and Variety Performers. We’ve launched the careers of some of London’s most famous cabaret artists – since February 2007 Finger in the Pie has showcased over 344 individual performances from a total of over 400 different performers. A full list of our previous acts can be found in our archive here:http://www.fingerinthepie.com/Showcase/Complete_Lineup.html. Finger in the Pie Cabaret Showcase is based in Madame JoJos - London’s most famous Cabaret Venue, an intimate West End nightclub still going strong after 50 years.

----------------------
Line up Includes:
----------------------

Compere Moonfish Rhumba

Brace yourselves for a baptism of waistcoats, a moustache and a slice of the divine, the sublime and the down right ridiculous. Oddball laughter makers, the MOONFISH RHUMBA, aka. Dan Lees and Guy Combes were Amused Moose finalists and Hackney Empire finalists 2009. This anarchic duo have rapidly become cult favourites on the comedy and cabaret circuits, adored for their unique blend of musical mayhem and off the wall comedy.

'A vision of what the '70s could have been if only they'd tried harder'  Time Out

'A fantastic musical comedy group.. I really loved it!'  Smooth FM

----------------------

Michael Twaits

Previewing work from his upcoming show ‘Confessions Of A Dancewhore’ Michael Twaits presents his unique cabaret – song, comedy and drunken ramblings combine in an inimitable act.
‘Unmissable… one of London’s fastest rising stars’ Time Out

‘He is an engaging and engaged presence’ Lyn Gardener, The Guardian

----------------------

Rosie Wilby

An excerpt from Rosie’s new solo show, a spoof scientific lecture where Rosie investigates sexual chemistry, attraction, sexual identity and more

----------------------

Cat Aclysmic

Cat Aclysmic performs a circus themed strip tease with an unforgettable finale. The Bearded Lady oozes dark sensuality to a freak show soundtrack, shedding veils and finally clothes in a mesmerising dance, suddenly the music picks up and she reveals herself to be a gold sequinned clad circus performer...nothing to reveal at all... or is there? At the end of a bump and grind strip lies a final shocking revelation, she reveals a perfectly shaped beard alright...but not on her face!

----------------------

Victoria L’Etoile

Black & Gold: Victoria performs a sensuous burlesque striptease to the wonderful Sam Sparro track. Bridging the divide between burlesque and pop culture beautifully, Victoria enchants the audience with all the talents and artistry that the best burlesquers possess but to a track that the audience knows well as well as being modern and sexy.

----------------------

Luli Blue

With hips a shakin’ and feathers a flyin’ Miss Luli Blue is a Belly-Burlesque act that wows the crowd.  This gal really knows how to work the stage and her body with snake hips and bird wings! Miss Luli Blue brings us the mystery of the East with her sizzling hips and, the best of the burly West with her feather fans and glitter kisses; a most remarkable fusion of the best of burlesque and Bellydance.

----------------------

Starla Haze

Starla is the ice queen, reaching the end of her reign as spring approaches and begins the winter thaw. This performance is a classic strip tease with a difference, with a custom-made costume created to give the illusion that it is ‘melting’ on stage, and will involve use of liquid water. Each layer will ‘melt away’, shedding water as clothes are removed. A fog machine will be used to create atmosphere and at the conclusion of the act, Starla will ‘disappear’ in a plume of dry ice, leaving nothing but her discarded clothes and a puddle of water on the stage!

----------------------

Audacity Chutzpah

Waiting for Stanley is a wartime tale of love and longing set at a train station. Warwife Audacity is waiting patiently for her beloved Stanley to return from the war, but he never arrives. What has really happened to Stanley is revealed from the perspectives of everyone present – including an old man, a pigeon and Stanley himself (yes, he’s not dead...)

----------------------

Holly Burn

"Holly Burn -the lively and inventive comic behind the wonderful cult show At Home With Holly" - LONDON IS FUNNY

Holly is a radical and inventive comedy performer….you won’t have seen anything like it before. She has performed 3 one woman character comedy shows at The Edinburgh Festival and received 4/ 5 star reviews for At Home With Holly which was set in her flat.

“Dangerous but hilarious”- The Stage http://www.hollyburn.org.uk

----------------------

Miguel Orango

Miguel Orango, the most Mexican accordionist in the world, shows his own way of getting a woman reclined under his poncho, so that he can sing and play for her the Argentinean Tango 'Silueta Portena'. But once he has succeeded, he will find more interesting agilities to perform than just singing the song.http://artimmediate.com/cabaret.htm

----------------------

Doodle and Bug

Lady Penelope Bug and her Housekeeper Dorothy Doodle live in an air raid shelter during the Blitz.  They are practicing their show for the troops when they decide to embark on a sceance in order to get help with their show from ‘the other side’.

----

Moonfish Rhumba

Moonfish Rhumba are a dynamic comedy duo. Mixing funky beats, silly rhymes and an array of crazy characters.  "Reeves and Mortimer meets the Beastie Boys"

http://www.myspace.com/moonfishrhumba

----

Miss. Pixie Frisk

Miss. Pixie Frisk presents Little Dot, the cleaner.  It is just an average evening of work, tidying up after a host of burlesque beauties, dreaming of a glitter-filled life… but will Dot ever muster the courage to throw off her inhibitions and strut her stuff?  Support Little Dot as she travels somewhere over the rainbow, and makes the leap from dowdy to delicious!

----

Wes Zaharuk

A madcap romp through comic insanity. Using his off-beat sense of humour and wacky inventions he releases an unbridled hilarity using props such as a vacuum, whips, and blowers. A veteran of night clubs, concerts, and corporate function, Wes wows audiences with his crazy antics and comical crusades

----

Cecilia Holmes

Cecilia Holmes plays Ivana, the Russian plastic surgery queen with a chest the size of her country. Ivana has many comic lines as she retells her disaster stories of being under the knife and having English as a second language. Her songs describe her misfortunes in a saucy, quirky manner, so childish and ‘Carry on Matron’, the audience are in stitches. She is a failed Burlesque star, a fading beauty queen and soon to become pastiche of The Bride Of Wildenstein if she does not stop with her trips to plastic surgeon Dr.Friedman!

----

Octavia Blossom

Octavia Blossom presents a sensational performance of demure sweetness and full on lust based on the character of Little Bo Peep! The act involves everything cute, pink and lacy with a change in personality and provides an interesting look at narrative burlesque!

----

More acts to follow.
