Finger in the Pie Cabaret Showcase is returning for its 4th year this February! The showcase is London’s largest platform for new Cabaret, Vaudeville and Variety Performers. We’ve launched the careers of some of London’s most famous cabaret artists – since February 2007 Finger in the Pie has showcased over 320 individual performances from a total of 395 different performers.
For the last 3 years our line-ups have read as who’s who of the cabaret and burlesque revival including performances from cabaret darlings Frisky and Mannish, Bourgeois and Maurice and Pustra/Vile-een, musical comedy from Vikki Stone, beat box legends Tom Tom Crew and Mister Meredith, magic from Channel 4’s Barry and Stuart and Sky 1’s Christian Lee, burlesque from the beautiful Agent Lynch, Marian Cheese Cake and Slinky Sparkles as well as alternative performances from sideshow starlet Chrisalys, and performance artists Michael Twaits and Marcus Reeves.
Finer in the Pie Cabaret at a glance:
For our first cabaret in 2010 we present the comic madness of American comedy legend Wes Zaharuk, burlesque from the beautiful Miss Pixie Frisk and Octavia Blossom as well as the musical musings of Finger in the Pie regulars Moonfish Rhumba and Cecilia Holmes. As well as chit-chat, fashion tips and occasional live-art classes from Finger in the Pie’s resident compare Myra Dubois.

February's Acts Include:
--------------------------------------
Myra Dubois
Actress, Socialite, Showgirl! Myra DuBois recounts her heady days at the Rotherham Operatic Society. She might even do a number or two, providing the valium kicks in.
‘Acid Tongued Drag Queen who is funny to the bone. Myra is so hot right now’ - Time Out

Moonfish Rhumba
Moonfish Rhumba are a dynamic comedy duo. Mixing funky beats, silly rhymes and an array of crazy characters. "Reeves and Mortimer meets the Beastie Boys"

----
Miss. Pixie Frisk
Miss. Pixie Frisk presents Little Dot, the cleaner. It is just an average evening of work, tidying up after a host of burlesque beauties, dreaming of a glitter-filled life… but will Dot ever muster the courage to throw off her inhibitions and strut her stuff? Support Little Dot as she travels somewhere over the rainbow, and makes the leap from dowdy to delicious!
----
Wes Zaharuk
A madcap romp through comic insanity. Using his off-beat sense of humour and wacky inventions he releases an unbridled hilarity using props such as a vacuum, whips, and blowers. A veteran of night clubs, concerts, and corporate function, Wes wows audiences with his crazy antics and comical crusades
----
Cecilia Holmes
Cecilia Holmes plays Ivana, the Russian plastic surgery queen with a chest the size of her country. Ivana has many comic lines as she retells her disaster stories of being under the knife and having English as a second language. Her songs describe her misfortunes in a saucy, quirky manner, so childish and ‘Carry on Matron’, the audience are in stitches. She is a failed Burlesque star, a fading beauty queen and soon to become pastiche of The Bride Of Wildenstein if she does not stop with her trips to plastic surgeon Dr.Friedman!
----
Octavia Blossom
Octavia Blossom presents a sensational performance of demure sweetness and full on lust based on the character of Little Bo Peep! The act involves everything cute, pink and lacy with a change in personality and provides an interesting look at narrative burlesque!

More acts to follow.
