rosie wilby, national storytelling week, how (not) to make it in britpop, open ealing
Musical comedian Rosie Wilby is heading to Ealing next month as part of a festival for National Storytelling Week.
Wilby is set to perform her show How (not) to make it in Britpop at Open Ealing, A West Ealing arts project launched to give the local Ealing community an opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the arts.
Wilby’s show is set to mix storytelling, stand up and songs written between 1996 and 2000, when Wilby chased stardom in her diary column ‘Rosie’s Pop Diary’ for the now defunct music magazine Making Music.
Running from January 28 – February 4, National Storytelling Week has run for 12 years, and is designed to help promote the world’s oldest art form, the art of telling a story.
The informal performance will include wine and feedback from the audience. Now that’s a story worth telling.
