I'm Ed Chappel and run Avin a Larf Ltd, a company dedicated to promoting musical comedy as an independent genre. I run the Musical Comedy Awards, a celebration of the emerging musical comedy community that is now in it's second year. There are lots of shows going on in early 2010, heats throughout January to March and the Grand Final at the New Players Theatre on March 26th, with the five finalists (selected by the audience at the live heats!) playing alongside established greats such as Tom Basden, Pippa Evans, Ginger and Black and last year's winners, Adams and Rea.
